A Rhode Island movement, built by tradeswomen — for tradeswomen.
Founded in 2019, RI Women in the Trades is led by people who have lived the work, the barriers, and the breakthroughs.

Anita Bruno
Workforce advocacy & trades education
Anita founded RI Women in the Trades to make sure every woman in Rhode Island has fair and equal access to information, training, and employment in the skilled-trade industries.
She brings decades of advocacy, organizing, and on-the-ground experience to a mission that's simple: open doors, then make sure women have what they need to walk through them.
To educate, organize, and expand current and future tradeswomen to become one voice — ensuring fair and equal access to information, training, and employment in the construction industry.
A Rhode Island where women are visible, valued, and thriving across every skilled trade — and where every girl knows that a trade career is a real option for her.
